Eric is the kind of person who would find ways to create beautiful art in a labour camp or anywhere else you put him. To him form is an instinctive melody whistled upon a page and what tunes Eric can play. He never forgets the plight of humanity's majority of suffering people, nor does he overlook the worrying trends and pollution, habitat loss and environmental destruction. But Eric is not one for hand wringing. His work is real, live and vital. He includes themes that concern him and his metaphors are often blunt. But he never forgets to be beautiful and this work is understatedly beautiful.
Friend and stable-mate of three of Cork`s best know artists: John Adams, Tom Campbell and Mark Redden, viewers will not be disappointed with this show, the first that Eric has put on in Ireland and a unique occasion for serious collectors to snap up collectable works affordably.
